Promotions & campaigns

Sidebar → Promotions is where you create discounts — a code customers type at checkout, or an automatic deal they simply see. Group them under campaigns with budgets and dates.

  1. Open Promotions

    Sidebar → Selling → Promotions.

  2. Tap Create

A three-step panel opens: Type, Details, Campaign.

  3. Pick the type

“Standard” is a straight discount. “Buy Get” is buy X get Y — like buy one pizza, get a drink free.

  4. Choose the method

“Promotion code” means customers must enter a code at checkout. “Automatic” means customers see the discount applied on its own.

  5. Set the value

Fixed amount in rupees or a percentage. Choose the allocation — Each applies it to every matching item, Across spreads one discount over the items, Once applies it a single time per order.

  6. Set status and code

Draft keeps it invisible, Active makes it live, Inactive pauses it. Give the code something easy to type.

  7. Attach a campaign (optional)

Pick an existing campaign, create a new one with dates and budget — or run it without a campaign.

  8. Manage it later

The list shows every promotion with its method and status. The row menu has Edit and Delete (delete asks for a confirmation).

Good to know: Sidebar → Promotions → Campaigns lists your campaigns — each with its own Create button, dates and budget.

Common problems

My promotion says “Campaign scheduled” or “Campaign expired”

The promotion belongs to a campaign that hasn't started or has ended. Change the campaign dates, detach it from the campaign, or wait for the start date.

Customers say the code doesn't work

Check three things on the promotion: status is Active, the code was typed exactly as written, and — if it's in a campaign — the campaign dates cover today.
